Q: I am currently receiving my disability check at home and
would like to have it automatically deposited. Although this seems like
a simple task, I've been all over the VA website plus two phone books
and a VFW Hall without finding the answer. Do you have any suggestions?
-James, South Lyon, MI
A: You came to the right place! Well, not really, someone at the
Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) should have been able to help. Try
contacting the VA National Direct Deposit Center at (877) 838-2778.
They will be able to help you set up your direct deposit over the
telephone! Good luck, and tell your friends, they can always Ask June!

I currently receive VA Disability check that are direct deposited into a checking account. I have changed banks and need to change my direct deposit information. HOW CAN I DO THIS??????

You need VA-Form 24-0296 and you must have the financial institution's routing transit number or a VOIDED check. Just did a web search and found the form online but now I can't find the website.

call your regional VA office and speak with one of their representatives. you will need your account number and your bank's routing number when calling. it takes about a month for it to start so call at the first of the month that way your next month's check will hopefully go directly into your acccount

There is a form that you can fill out with your routing and acct info to mail into the regional office in your location. If you go to your local VA office, they can provide that form and mail it for you.
